People who are there to support
Your form tutor will help you in making career choices for the future.
Your subject teachers will help you in making careers choices. A lot of your lessons will focus on careers and work related learning skills in their subject. Your PSHE teachers are very experienced with CVs and personal statements.
Ask your parents/carers for support with making career choices.
Mrs Bleasdale and Mrs Heyes
We are here to offer advice and support as required. All pupils in Year 11 will have a one to one appointment with Mrs Heyes and those times/days will be posted on the bulletin as well as you getting a confirmation slip via your form tutor to hand to the teacher of the lesson you will need to leave for 20 minutes or so. Mrs Heyes is in school Tuesday and Thursday and is available at break and lunchtime in our careers base at the top of E Block.
Mrs Bleasdale is in school Monday – Wednesday and is also available to have informal discussions about colleges, writing CVs and personal statements, interviews and many other things. Email a question or come up at break or lunchtime. She will also be organising lots of careers related events in school and in workplaces (when possible) as well as your Mock Interview workshop in March.
There are also stacks of resources below which you can browse through to help. Keep checking back as new things will be added as they arrive.
