Year 10 upcoming Careers-related activities

On Monday 4th or Wednesday 6th July, Year 10 pupils will each have a Mock Interview with an external visitor to the school.  In the past, this workshop has taken place in Year 11 but pupils have expressed a need for this in Year 10 to help them prepare for college and job interviews in the Autumn and Spring terms next academic year.  This has been an invaluable exercise for our pupils which has been established in the school for many years.  All pupils have been given a day and time slot and they will miss about 25 minutes of their lesson to do this.  They have been updating their CV in PSHE lessons and it is their responsibility to bring a printed copy of this and their Record of Achievement to the interview.  Please discuss this at home to ensure they are prepared and know when their appointment is.

Secondly, a reminder that on Tuesday 5th July, they will be travelling to Runshaw College for a Sampling Day.  They will be issued with their individual timetables next week and if they are involved in Vocational Sport, Drama or Performing Arts sessions, they will need to bring suitable kit with them to change into – they must come to school in full uniform.
