Computing at St James’ aims to create;

Computing is a fundamental building block of education that enables all other subjects to work in one way or the other.  Technology is part of 21st century society and from the moment out students begin their learning journey, Computing begins to play a pivotal role.  Computing is more than just using technology.  Computing focuses on problem solving, building resilience, creativity and team work.  Computing is vital to our students now and in their future.  Society continues to evolve and as time goes on, technology is used more frequently within every single aspect you can consider.

Computing is an ever evolving subject that has changed from ICT to Digital Literacy and then to Computer Science.  To ensure we give our students all of the relevant skills and knowledge they will need, we deliver Computing.  Computing is a subject that includes IT, Digital Literacy and Computer Science combined together and delivered by specialists.
